TalkTalk is again "most complained about" UK telco

TalkTalk was the most complained about company in the UK telecommunications industry, according to regulator Ofcom.

Ofcom's review of the UK's telecommunications providers the first three months of 2012 revealed that the company attracted the most complaints for its landline and broadband services.

It marks the sixth successive quarter that TalkTalk has been the worst offender.

TalkTalk generated 0.72 complaints per 1,000 landline customers, while it generated 0.56 complaints per 1,000 broadband customers.

At the other end of the spectrum, Virgin Media was the least complained about landline operator with 0.16 complaints per 1,000 customers.

Sky was deemed to have the most reliable broadband, as its service attracted the fewest complaints with 0.15 per 1,000 customers.

Three UK had the worst complaints-to-customer ratio of the country's mobile network companies - with 0.14 per 1,000 customers.

Ofcom, which says it released the figures to give companies an incentive to improve their performance, did note that TalkTalk received its lowest number of quarterly complaints during the January to March period.
