Nokia-Zynga partnership develops

Mobile apps Draw Something and Zynga Poker will be made available on Nokia Asha Touch devices in the third quarter of 2012, as a result of the communications giant's partnership with social games provider Zynga.

Nokia said that the addition of the games, which will both be free to download from the Nokia Store, should reinforce the firm's commitment to delivering must-have app and gaming experiences to consumers of Nokia Series 40 devices, including the Nokia Asha Touch range.

Zynga is the latest games provider to team up with Nokia, joining the likes of EA, Gameloft, Rovio and NAMCO BANDAI.

Bryan Biniak, vice-president for global partnering and application development at Nokia, said: "It's great to expand our offering of Zynga games to deliver more blockbuster titles across our portfolio of mobile devices, giving consumers great choice and tremendous value."

He added: "With premium design, powerful hardware and outstanding gaming capabilities, we're redefining what consumers expect from today's feature phone experience."
