Transmode strengthen its Board of Directors with Gerd Tenzer
Transmode, a leading provider of optical networking solutions, today announced that Gerd Tenzer, formerly a member of the Executive Management Team of Deutsche Telekom, has joined Transmode's Board of Directors."I am proud to welcome such an experienced industry professional as Gerd Tenzer to the Transmode Board," said Rune Hurtig, Chairman. "Mr. Tenzer brings extensive expertise in the telecom area and a global network of industry contacts."
Gerd Tenzer joins the Transmode Board of Directors as an independent board member and brings more than 35 years of telecommunications industry experience to the company. Mr. Tenzer was CTO and member of the Executive Management Team of Deutsche Telekom AG from January 1990 to November 2002, and was appointed Deputy Chairman in 2002. Prior to joining Deutsche Telecom, Mr. Tenzer held several leading positions at the German Federal Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications.
At present Mr. Tenzer is a member of the board of SES, the Global Satellite provider in Luxembourg, a board member at VascoDe in Israel, and Chairman of the Advisory Board of Sutter Verzeichnisverlag GmbH & Co. KG, Germany.
Mr. Tenzer studied telecommunications at the Technical University in Aachen, Germany, and holds a Master of Science in Communications Engineering.

"The telecommunication industry is undergoing a rapid evolution, fuelled by the increased requirements for bandwidth by business and residential users. The outlook is very promising, in particular for the Metro Networks where Transmode is focused. I look forward to contribute to the advancement of the organization."
Gerd Tenzer joins the existing Transmode Board members; Rune Hurtig (Chairman), Simon Cornwell (Amadeus Capital Partners), Eva Lindqvist (Independent), Tom Nyman (Pod Venture Partners), and Karl Thedéen (CEO, Transmode). In addition, Alex Rogers (HarbourVest) rejoined the board.
