Subex to partner with Teradata to offer telcos better decision making capabilities and reduce time-to-market

Subex Systems, the global telecom software product company, today announced that it has entered into a co-marketing partnership with Teradata, a division of NCR Corporation.

This partnership will enable Subex’s solutions to leverage Teradata's enterprise data warehouse (EDW) and offer telcos improved decision making capabilities and significantly reduce time-to-market. Moreover, the Subex's solutions will benefit from improved data exploration and pre-processing of data for high usage and data analysis. Subex's Ranger FMS and INcharge Revenue Assurance Solution will leverage Teradata's enterprise data warehouse to enable superior fraud management and revenue assurance analysis.

"We’re delighted to partner with Teradata and help telcos unlock compelling financial results for revenue recovery and cost optimization,” said Mr. Subash Menon, President & CEO, Subex Systems. “Teradata’s leadership in the telco market is evidenced by the fact that 80 percent of the top global telecommunication companies rely on its superior data warehousing technology to remain competitive.”

“By leveraging Subex’s deep domain knowledge, world class support and industry-leading product suite along with the power of Teradata Profitability Analytics, Financial Management, and Revenue Assurance capabilities, telecommunication companies are able to perform near-real time analysis of detailed customer and network data and subsequently take very rapidly the most substantiated decisions” said Jacques Hoeusler, EMEA director of Communications Industry consulting of Teradata.

Subex’s RevMax maximizes revenue and profits through, assuring earned revenue, enhancement of revenue and cost optimization. The suite which offers telecom operators an integrated platform for Revenue Maximization solutions and thus eliminates the need to invest piecemeal in point solutions, consists of Ranger Fraud Management System and INcharge Revenue Assurance Solution. The benefits of an integrated architecture are both - strategic and operational. Strategically, a single platform optimizing the IT infrastructure costs significantly lesser and such integration drives informed, holistic business decisions and course corrections. The operational benefits include streamlined, standards driven end-to-end Revenue Maximization workflow across the organization. “We expect Subex and Teradata integrated solution to be available by Q2 2005” said Mr. Menon.
