EE has joined Telecom Italia in headlining European Communications’ OTT/Digital Content Strategy seminar next month.

Jake Redford, Senior Manager at EE TV, will discuss the UK-based operator’s solution, outlining the strategy behind it and the lessons it has learned.

EE unveiled the service 12 months ago, saying a lack of exclusive content was not a barrier to its success.

Redford joins Daniela Biscarini, Head of Multimedia Entertainment at Telecom Italia, in speaking at the event in London on 8 October.

Biscarini will outline the operator’s digital content strategy, including recent deals it has signed with Mediaset, Netflix and Sky.

Other speakers at the free-to-attend seminar include Coleago Consulting CEO Stefan Zehle, EY’s Global Telecoms lead Adrian Baschnonga and CCS Insight’s Director of Multiplay Paolo Pescatore.

Presentations will focus on whether the bundling of access, telecoms services, and content is a sustainable strategy, and how and why operators need to strike the right balance between OTT partnerships and in-house R&D.

In addition, European Communications Editor Marc Smith will present key findings from our recent research into the topic.

The seminar takes place at the Grange Tower Bridge Hotel, London, from 9am until 1pm.

With plenty of opportunity to network with peers and quiz speakers about this key topic, the event is a must-attend for anyone interested in the rapidly evolving OTT/digital content space.
