European Communications has launched its latest research into the OTT/digital content space.

The survey looks at the latest strategies that operators are employing, alongside the views of the wider telecoms community.

For example, it asks which type of content is the most valuable, what RoI operators are getting from the content they provide and whether new draft net neutrality rules will benefit their strategies.

The last few months have shown how telcos in Europe are continuing to evolve their digital content offerings.

In the UK, BT struck a deal with YouTube to stream two European football finals on the OTT video site, while TalkTalk launched a pay-as-you-go TV service.

Vivendi and Mediaset have unveiled a strategic partnership that aims to shake up the TV and video markets in Italy, Spain and France, while SFR took a 49 percent stake in French broadcaster NextRadioTV.

The results of the survey will appear in the Q3 issue of European Communications magazine, which will be published in September.

Key findings will also be discussed at European Communications’ annual OTT/Digital Content seminar in October.
