Nokia Solutions and Networks' (NSN) has launched a new near real-time customer loyalty tracking tool and a new security product for operators.

CEM for Loyalty Scores uses the likes of Net Promoter Score to give a network an almost immediate insight into the factors behind customer loyalty.

NSN said the product will help identify problematic issues with a network, allowing them to be resolved quickly.

According to Deepak Harie, Head of Systems Integration at NSN, it will help operators better understand customer loyalty measures and makes them visible throughout the organisation.

“This allows all operator departments to ‘feel the customer’s pulse’ and focus on the same priorities, bringing the customer to the very centre of the operator business,” he added.

The vendor also launched a CEM Umbrella Solution, which allows operators to track customer experience across a number of regions. NSN's new Device Portfolio Analyser gives data on how individual smart devices are trending.

The product will show migration patterns to and from different brands of handset and trends in devices, allowing networks to have more information for handset procurement.

Meanwhile, the new malware product, NSN Mobile Guard, tracks network data, such as voice, SMS and mobile broadband, and analyses traffic patterns to detect malware.

If malware has been sent, it notifies the end user, blocks the affected services on the network and can help subscribers to clean their smart devices as an additional service.

NSN said the product can block malware before it reaches a smart device. The product was developed by security firm F-Secure.

Thorsten Robrecht, Vice-President Portfolio Management at Nokia Solutions and Networks told European Communications: "It’s unique, what makes it different is the fact that it’s the first time a security solution is installed on your network rather than your device. The consumer, whatever phone they are using, does not have to install anything on their device or worry about."

He added a major central European operator, which he declined to name, is trialing the product and the company is in talks with several others across North America and Europe about them introducing it to their markets.

The launch follows a report by Alcatel-Lucent’s security subsidiary Kindsight, which revealed mobile malware infections increased 20 percent in 2013, with 4G LTE devices being the most likely to be infected.
